The largest Alpine Lake in the country, Lake Tahoe is a beauty to behold, with a variety of ski resorts to visit in the winter and a large range of outdoor attractions in the summertime. 4. Carson City, NV
As the capitol of the state of Nevada, Carson City is the center of government activities in the area and a site of many different historical monuments. Take the drive to Carson City and check out the Kit Carson Trail, a 2.5-mile walk through the heart of Carson City’s beautiful historical district. Location: 7 hours northwest of Henderson, NV
5. Mount Rose Highway
Test the limits of your car while enjoying some of the most beautiful and sublime sites in the state of Nevada by following Mount Rose Highay past Lake Tahoe, through the Sierras, and down to Washoe Valley. Location: Nevada State Route 431, a 25 mile route in Washoe County, NV
