Toyota Hydrogen Bus Unveiled

LogoIf you’ve been paying attention to the Toyota lineup in recent years, then you know that the Japanese automaker is fully committed to developing responsible and innovative alternative powertrain sources with low- and zero-emission numbers as the goal. This includes the Toyota Prius hybrid, Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid, and the all-new 2017 Toyota Mirai with a system powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Now, Toyota is taking hydrogen fuel cell technology to a whole new level with the introduction of an all-new Toyota hydrogen bus. Here’s what we know about this innovative new model so far.

How it Works

The Toyota hydrogen bus will run on a Toyota Fuel Cell System that has been recently updated to develop even greater efficiency. It will use a bigger version of the system built for the all-new 2017 Toyota Mirai in order to offer a max output of 9 kW and tanks that can hold up to 235 kWh of electricity. The system will store hydrogen in carbon-fiber reinforced fuel tanks, which is delivered from the outside air through front intake grills. This hydrogen is sent to the fuel cell stack, where it undergoes treatment that allows it to create electricity which is then converted into motion. This is a zero emissions vehicle, with the only by-product being water released through the tailpipe.

Japan’s Olympic Plan

Toyota’s hydrogen bus plan is part of a bigger plan by the Japanese government to go green ahead of the 2020 Olympics. Of the six thousand fuel-cell driven vehicles that Japan wants on the road by the time the Olympics come around, 100 of them are expected to be Toyota hydrogen buses.

Learn More About Toyota Hydrogen Power at Findlay Toyota

Needless to say, the Toyota hydrogen bus won’t be a production model for everyday drivers, but rather a public bus for public use. For those who want a car the runs on fuel cells, though, there’s the all-new 2017 Toyota Mirai. This all-new model is now available at select dealerships. Tire Changing Guide To Keep Your 2016 Toyota Rav4 Rolling This Summer

RAV4

Summer time's in full swing, which means lots of on-road travel time for many. Opting for midsize SUVs like the 2016 Toyota Rav4 is a great way to make all of those upcoming road trips much more enjoyable with abundant space for passengers and cargo. But, even if you have the perfect vehicle for your summer travels, if you don't know some simple maintenance tasks, you may find yourself stranded on the side of the road. One common problem you may run into on the road is a flat tire. Don't waste time having to wait for assistance to save the day. Instead, save the day yourself by learning these important steps below.

1. Pull Over. If your car suffers from a flat tire, the first thing to do is pull over. Try to do so in as safe of a location as possible. Don't park in the middle of a curved road! This is very dangerous because approaching vehicles will be unable to see you.

2. Turn On Hazards. Any time you pull over on the side of the road, it's a very important safety measure to turn on your hazards. This is the best way to notify other vehicles on the road that you will be staying put for awhile – or that you may be in need of assistance.

3. Gather Tools. There are a few tools you will need in order to change your fat, and now is the time to go ahead and gather them for the job ahead. You'll need:

  • jack
  • wrench
  • spare tire

4. Loosen Lug Nuts. Before you even jack up your car, it's a good idea to go ahead and loosen the lug nuts (the big bolts holding your tire onto your car). Using your wrench, loosen the lug nuts by turning the wrench counter-clockwise (to the left). If the lug nuts are too tight to remove, place the wrench on the lug nut, then stand on the wrench arm. Using your full weight may be the loosening trick required. Be sure you only loosen them; don't fully unscrew them at this point.

5. Jack Up Your Car. Now is the time to put your jack to use. Since all car models differ as to where to place the jack, consult your owner's manual for a specific location. Once the jack is in place, jack up your car until the flat tire is roughly six inches off the ground.

6. Remove Lug Nuts. Since you've pre-loosened the lug nuts, you can now easily and fully unscrew and remove them. Be sure to place them in a pile so they don't get scattered or lost.

7. Remove Tire. Now that you have removed all of the lug nuts, you can go ahead and remove the tire. Do so by pulling the tire straight toward yourself.

8. Install Spare Tire. With the flat tire removed, your spare tire is ready to be installed. To do this, line up the lug nut posts with the holes in the spare. Then, push the spare as far as it will go onto the wheelbase.

9. Replace Lug Nuts. Once your spare is in place, grab your lug nuts and screw them back into place. Don't put them on too tightly just yet.

10. Lower Your Car. Make sure your jack is still in the correct location and then lower it back to the ground. Remove the jack.

11. Fully Tighten Lug Nuts. Once your car is back on solid ground and the jack has been removed, go ahead and fully tighten all of the lug nut

Important Maintenance Services Needed By Your 2016 Toyota Prius

2016 Toyota Prius

The 2016 Toyota Prius is loved for many reasons, it's main one being its high fuel economy and lower emittance of emissions into the atmosphere – they are the top two advantages to owning a hybrid, after all. But, one question you may be wondering about hybrids like the Prius is if they require more or less maintenance services compared to standard, gas-only vehicles. The answer: about the same. Regular maintenance is essential to obtaining the highest level of performance, safety and reliability from your vehicle – whether hybrid or non-hybrid. (It can also increase your vehicle's resale value.) To learn more about importance maintenance services your Prius needs, continue reading.

Oil Changes. Your Prius may not require as much gasoline as a typically car does, but it does still need oil – as long as it's synthetic. A hybrid engine needs oil in order to function properly. Without it, it will not have enough lubrication to keep its critical internal components working as they should. This leads to an overwhelmed engine, damaged parts, and an accumulation of rust and sludge inside the oil. For the healthiest engine, ensure you get oil changes regularly.

Replace the Brakes. Brakes make up one of the most important systems in your car, so it makes sense to stay on top of regular maintenance and repair services. Brake fluids are hygroscopic, which means they absorb moisture from the air. This moisture can lead to brake corrosion, even failure. This is why it's important to replace your vehicle's brake fluid annually. This will prevent small problems from becoming larger and costing more in repairs. It's also always important to pay attention to how your brakes feel and sound. If it takes longer to stop than usual, your steering wheel shutters or vibrates, or you hear any squealing or grinding when coming to a stop, this could mean you are in need of brake repairs. Don't risk a failed stop, and stay on top of brake care.

Tire Care. Tires are an important, yet often ignored part of cars. One thing you may never have considered about your tires is that they are the sole part of your vehicle that touches the ground. This means two things:

  1. If your tires aren't in working condition, your car is stranded.
  2. If your tires are in poor condition, on-road safety decreases.

To keep your car rolling as you want it to, there are several maintenance services to stay on top of. They include:

  • maintaining proper psi
  • tire replacements
  • wheel alignments

You may already know that your tires need air, but do you know why? Maintaining the proper psi (air) in your tires ensures they have sufficient traction with the road in order to keep you and your passengers safe.

Overinflated tires (too much psi/air) are unable to fully grip the road, which causes them to bounce along the road instead of rolling along smoothly. In turn, ires are more likely to slip or skid, especially in wet or icy conditions.

Under-inflated tires (too little psi/air) pose the opposite problem. Tires that are under-inflated touch too much of the ground, leading to overheating and faster wear and year; they also burn more gas, which causes fuel economy to drop.

Along with keeping proper air in your tires, you can also aid in their longevity by having your car's wheels aligned regularly. Your car's tires work best when the wheels are aligned straight. Unfortunately, it is all too easy to knock them out of alignment from basic maneuvers, driving over pot holes and ruts in the road, and so on. This leads to more wear and tear on your tires and more money spent replacing them.

They include: coolant, oil, brake fluid, windshield wiper fluid, etc. To avoid potential car troubles on the road, be sure to check all fluids to make sure they are adequately filled and topped off. And while you're at it, pack some waters for you and your crew, too!

But before you leave town, it is vital to check your tires for any severe wear and tear. Treads should be at least 1/16th” or 1.6mm. Any lower and you risk hazards on the road like hydroplaning or blowouts. Also, make sure all tires are filled with the proper amount of air – and don't forget to check the spare!

Change Oil: Changes are, you are probably near time to get your car's oil changed, and there's no better time than before traveling to get this task done. Oil changes are by far one of the simplest and cheapest maintenance tasks you can do for your car. Not only does it make certain your car has enough oil, it also provides it with fresh oil that will better aid in keeping your engine running smoothly.

Check Air Filter: While getting your oil changed, this is also the perfect time to get your car's air filter checked. Air filters work to keep any debris from getting inside the engine, along with proving it with a continuous supply of air. Unfortunately, air filters become dirty and clogged over time, which will starve your engine of the air it needs to work efficiently.

Check Lights and Turn Signals: Lights and turn signals are crucial in order to see when it is dark or rainy, as well as to let other drivers known your intentions. So if you plan to travel via car this summer, it only makes sense to check that all lights and turn signals are functioning properly. Replace any bulbs that need changing, and purchasing a spare set of bulbs to keep in your car is always a good just-in-case plan.

Boost Fuel Economy In Your 2016 Toyota Corolla With These Tips

2016 Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla has always had respectable fuel economy, whether you opt for an older 2000 model or a brand new 2016. But, as summer already taunts many of us with high temperatures, you may be wondering how to keep your fuel economy from plummeting. When hot temperatures hit, one of the main reasons you can experience a decrease in fuel economy is from using the air conditioning. In fact, using the AC in hot weather can cause fuel economy to lower by over 25 percent.

The obvious solution would be to turn off the air conditioner or roll down the windows, however these methods serve problems of their own. One, your passengers, as well as yourself, will melt into a sweaty puddle; and two, lowering windows make your car less aerodynamic, which causes lower fuel economy. Since neither of these ideas are too worthwhile, here are some easy ways to boost your fuel economy when hot weather strikes this summer.

  • The cooler the temperature you set your air conditioning to, the more fuel your car uses. To avoid wasting unnecessary gas, set your AC as high as you can while still staying comfortable.
  • Rolling windows down when driving at fast highway speeds is a sure-fire way to lower your fuel economy. However, during slow city or suburban driving, rolling down the windows won't put near as big a dent in fuel economy as seen when driving fast.
  • When you first start driving, instead of cranking up the AC, roll the windows down. This will help hot air escape from your car without putting stress on your AC or your gas tank.
  • Letting your car idle is an easy way to burn fuel while attaining zero miles to the gallon. Avoid idling when possible so you won't waste fuel. Also, don't turn on the AC while idling unless you want to burn even more gas.
  • Parking in the sun will cause you to need more air conditioning to cool the interior – and passengers – down. To avoid this, try to park in shaded spots or use a sunshade on the windshield so your car won't become as hot.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a timeless icon with over 60 years of consumer loyalty. What makes it such a sought-after ride? In a nutshell, the Land Cruiser offers an excellent combination of off-road skill, luxury on-road comfort, and the true refinement so well-known to the Toyota brand – and it only gets better over time. The 2016 Land Cruiser continues its mighty reign as the most admirable SUV. Here are some reasons to opt for this unbeatable ride.

Durability: The Land Cruiser has proven itself for decades with its off-road capabilities and the 2016 is no different – if anything, it's only gotten better. The 2016 Land Cruiser houses a V8 engine that creates 381 horsepower with 401 pound-feet of torque – a combo that makes this an SUV a master of all terrains. It also has enough power to pull a maximum load of 8,100 pounds – a seriously capable number for a seriously capable SUV.

The Land Cruiser also boasts some serious off-road systems, such as a locking center differential, entitled the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System. This system electronically adjusts the stabilizer bars for improved on-road handling or maximum off-road capability. Other systems include:

  • Multi-Terrain Select: tailors the stability and traction control settings to specific surfaces.
  • Five-Speed Crawl Control: a low-speed off-road cruise control.

Space: Many vehicles claim to offer abundant space, but as we all know, this is far from accurate. The 2016 Land Cruiser, on the other hand, provides an interior that is spacious, as well as functional. In fact, it's more functional than any other three-road SUV on the market. The Land Cruiser seats up to eight passengers, and second-row seats slide forward to provide more room to recline – a major win for comfort.

High-Tech Features: It's not just about the capabilities the 2016 Land Cruiser shows off-road that makes it such a spectacular SUV. It is also a winner on-road with a luxury interior full of all of the latest high-tech features. The 2016 Land Cruiser includes an upscale range of technology, such as a nine-inch touchscreen and control layout, multi-terrain off-road camera system, navigation system, dual-screen entertainment system, 14-speaker sound system, and more.

An Iconic History: If something is deemed worthy enough to be labeled an icon, it's obvious that it has a well-loved and rich history. The Land Cruiser is a timeless icon that scores top marks time after time, proving that it is trustable, reliable, and a people pleaser. For a vehicle, it's hard to find much better qualities than these.

Keep Your 2016 Toyota Tacoma’s Engine Running Smooth With These Helpful Tips

2016 Toyota Tacoma

Looking for a new truck? What about one that can go anywhere and do anything? Welcome the 2016 Toyota Tacoma – a midsize pickup truck that offers strong off-road capabilities, a powerful engine, and a tow rate up to 6,800 pounds. The 2016 Tacoma will take care of your needs, so it only makes sense for you to take care of its needs. One way to do so is to pay attention to your Tacoma's engine. Continue reading to learn how to be a proactive part of your engine's health.

Regular Oil Changes: One of the most important things you can do for your Tacoma (and any other car or truck for that matter) is to provide it with regular oil changes. Oil changes help keep the internal parts of your engine well lubricated so it does not overheat. Going too long between oil changes – or never changing it at all – can lead to serious, irreversible engine damage.

Keep Cooling System Working Properly: Another way to keep your Tacoma's engine from overheating is to make sure the cooling system is working properly. The best way to do this is to make sure your truck's cooling system always has the proper amount of coolant (a.k.a. radiator fluid). Coolant works by circulating through the engine, to the radiator, and back again in order to ensure it stays cool. Without coolant, your truck's engine will quickly overheat.

Regularly Replace Air Filter: Just as you require air to breathe and continue working as you should, so does your truck's engine. This is why truck's require air filters. Air filters work to provide your engine with a constant, unrestricted flow of air. However, air filters become dirty and clogged over time. The best way to keep a steady flow of air flowing to your engine, be sure to replace air filters regularly.

Check For Leaks: An easy way to keep your truck's engine running smoothly is to check for any leaks that may have sprung. The intense heat and pressure that occurs under your truck's hood can cause engine hoses to become old and cracked. Two main leaks to watch out for are oil and antifreeze leaks. These fluids leaking from your engine should never be looked over, otherwise you can expect overheating and other damages to happen. From time to time, pop your truck's trunk and inspect hoses for any problems. Another simple way to check your truck for leaks is by looking on the ground underneath it. If you see any puddles on the ground beneath your truck, take it to see a mechanic for further inspection.

Windshield Repair 101

Windshield Repair

You're driving along, the sun shining, your favorite song on the radio. All of a sudden … whack! Your windshield is struck by something. You may not know exactly what hit your windshield, but you do know one thing – your windshield now has a noticeable crack in it! Before you go to the glass shop to replace your windshield, you may be able to repair it yourself.

The first thing you need to do is inspect your windshield. Don't just look at it; break out a magnifying glass so you can really see it! If the chip goes all the way through, moisture can get deep into the chip, which can cause it to become larger. If water freezes in the chip, it could even turn the chip into a crack! If you find that you are able to repair your windshield, the best technique is to inject an epoxy or acrylic adhesive or filler into the chip. Windshield crack repair kits can be found everywhere from auto stores to mass merchandisers like Sears and Walmart. Continue reading to learn more.

Start with a windshield that's as close to room temperature as possible. Also make sure it is dry – otherwise, you may trap water inside the spot you repair, leading to future cracks. Peel off the backing film from one side of the precut adhesive strip. Centering it over the crack, apply the adhesive to the glass. Smooth it with the back of your thumbnail or a blunt object. Next, peel the remaining film and place the plastic adapter so it fits as vertically as possible and stick it to the film. Smooth again.

Using the pre-filled syringe, attach it to the adapter. Grasp the syringe body with one hand to stabilize it, then pull the syringe out as far as it will go. This creates a partial vacuum inside the syringe, and in the crack.

After one minute, abruptly let the handle go. The pressure created from the handle slamming down will force adhesive into the crack. Repeat this step several times in order to force the crack full of adhesive.

Remove the syringe, adapter, and adhesive sheet. You will notice an adhesive film remaining on the surface of the glass. Let it set for several hours. Once hardened, use a single-edge razor blade in order to shave the adhesive off the glass.

Police will be able to file an accident report, which can prove very important when dealing with the car insurance companies of you and other drivers. Easy Steps to Remove Exterior Car Scratches

Car Scratches

It's no secret, car paint scratches easily. A bag set upon the trunk, keys bumping against the door, a shopping car running into the side … you name it, and it probably causes paint damage. While you may think removing every day scratches is meant for professionals only, think again! Sure, you can take your car to a professional for touch-ups, but in a time where sites like Pinterest are favored by many, there's never been a better time to DIY.

To remove a scratch from your car, here's what you'll need.

  • 3,000 grit sandpaper
  • microfiber towel
  • polishing compound
  • polishing pads
  • dual action (DA) polisher unit

There are many types of scratches your car may endure. Here are a few to know, along with the steps on how to remove them.

Clear-Coat Scratch: Clear-coat scratches are minor scratches that do not go through the clear coat into your car's paint color. These types of scratches can typically be polished out with a polishing compound.

  1. Clean the scratch and the area surrounding it to remove any dirt.
  2. Apply a small amount of polishing compound to a polishing pad.
  3. Polish a small area at a time. After many strokes, use a clean, microfiber cloth to buff the area dry.
  4. Check your progress often to see if the scratch is still visible. If necessary, repeat steps two and three. Be sure to sand slowly to avoid sanding through your car's exterior clear-paint coat.

Base-Coat/Primer Scratch: If the scratch you are trying to remove goes beneath the base-coat paint color, or primer, this is considered a base-coat/primer scratch. For these types of scratches, you will need to get matching paint.

  1. Clean the scratch and the surrounding area to remove any oils or wax.
  2. Carefully apply primer or color to the scratch. This will leave you with paint overlapping the scratch. While you want to minimize any over-lapping, it's okay if some does occur.
  3. Let paint cure overnight, or longer.
  4. Using a sponge or rubber block covered with 600- or 1000-grit wet-or-dry sandpaper until the surface of the paint you applied is completely smooth. Be sure to work slowly, stopping often in order to clean the area and check your progress.
  5. Using a polishing compound over the sanded spot.
  6. Repeat previous steps if the area is not level.
  7. Don't wax your car for 30 days to ensure your work stays put.

Top Reasons to Opt for a Pickup Truck

Toyota Tacoma

Toyota Tacoma

Do things. Build stuff. Go places. This is the perfect motto for pickup trucks. Trucks allow the freedom many want in a vehicle, providing everyday practicality, the capability to be put to work when towing and hauling are required, and they are also the perfect companion when venturing off road. Take, for example, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. It boasts powerful engine choices, excellent off-road capability, and an extensive option list all wrapped in a midsize truck package. But, there are many more advantages to owning a pickup truck. Here are a few.

Bed: Pickup trucks are different from other vehicles in that the back half consists of a storage bed. Beds are long, flat, and easily accessible; they also typically come in a variety of dimensions in order to best suit your needs. The 2016 Tacoma offers two cab styles and three bed lengths. Cab styles include: extended Access Cab and Double Cab. Access Cabs come exclusively with a 73.7-inch short bed, while Double Cabs can be paired to a 127.4-inch regular bed or 141-inch long bed.

For those who work in the construction field, beds are a huge advantage, allowing them to hold and transport heavy materials. But, that-s not all it-s good for. Truck beds are great for hauling camping gear, bikes, and off-road equipment. They are also the perfect companion when it-s time to pack up your home and need to move heavy boxes and furniture.

Durability: Durability is one of the top strengths of a pickup truck - providing more power and strength than most other vehicles. One reason for this is because truck beds are separated from the cab, which allows for chassis flex. This enables trucks to withstand, carry, and pull heavy loads. Most trucks, like the Tacoma, also feature 4WD, which is optimal when driving through more hazardous terrain, which makes off-road adventures much more worthwhile.

Power: Power is another advantage to trucks, equipping them with the ability to haul and tow. In keeping with our 2016 Tacoma example, this truck houses either a 2.7-liter four-cylinder or 3.5-liter V6. Both rear-wheel-drive and 4WD configurations are available. Four cylinder Tacomas can tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds, while V6 models can manage between 6,400 and 6,800 pounds depending on cab configuration and driveline

Safety: Trucks provide increased safety, which puts them at an advantage over other vehicles. A higher ride height creates better visibility and also allows trucks to more easily roll over any potential road debris. Trucks with a front grille also enhance safety by enduring most of the impact during a collision. This allows occupants, and the truck itself, to be better protected.

Handy Tips for Removing Stains from Auto Upholstery

Camry

You-re driving along in your Toyota Camry, drink in hand, when you hit a bump in the road. Your arm jerks, your grip slips, and your cup goes flying, dumping its contents all over your car-s upholstery. This is just one of the many possible scenarios that could lead to stained and damaged upholstery. Luckily, cleaning your upholstery is easier than you probably think with these few simple tips. Note: Before you use any type of stain remover on your car-s upholstery, always test the solution on a separate stain first! Otherwise, you risk the stain remover possibly ruining your upholstery.

  • Does your car have leather upholstery? Before you tackle a stain on leather, first pretreat the leather using a leather conditioner. Next, apply leather stain remover and rub it in. Allow it to sit for 30 seconds then wipe the area clean.
  • If you-ve ever suffered from an ink stain (on anything!), you probably think there-s no hope to removing it. Well, guess what - there is hope! Simply mix hairspray with water in a spray bottle. Spray the stain then gently blot it with a clean, damp rag.
  • Battling greasy or oily upholstery stains? Makeup and food are two main culprits of stubborn stains like these. The cure? Watered-down paint thinner and a cotton ball. Mix equal parks paint thinner and water in a cup. Using a cotton ball, rub it into the stain. Then, sprinkle the stain with salt or cornmeal and let it sit overnight. The next day, simply vacuum up the mixture and wallah! No more greasy or oily stains!
  • There-s a reason there-s a Starbucks on almost every corner, and it-s because the world lives on caffeine - mainly coffee. That-s why it-s so easy to see why coffee stains in cars are pretty common. So, try this. Dilute the coffee stain with cold water then blot with a paper towel. Next, spray the stain with glass cleaner. Let it sit for five minutes then blot the stain again. This technique should work by helping to lift the stain out of the upholstery.

Cars are great for travel, but one problem they can cause is carsickness. If someone gets carsick in your vehicle, causing them to throw up, act fast! Clean it up as soon as possible, otherwise it will set into the upholstery. First, wipe up the mess and dilute the stain with cold water. Next, wash the area with mild soap and water. Lastly, neutralize the stain by applying club soda on a rag and blotting the stain. You can also combine baking soda and water. This mixture creates a paste that will help absorb any leftover unpleasant smell.

Prep Your Car for Vacation with these Helpful Tips

Toyota Venza

First comes spring break then comes summer. Yes, it-s that time of year again, an with road trips and vacation excursions among us, everyone is getting that antsy, want-to-go-out-and-play spring fever. If you foresee a road trip in your near future, opt for safety first by ensuring your Toyota Venza is in good condition and running smooth. Doing so will eliminate any potential hitches in your travel plans like breakdowns, mechanical issues or other safety woes, so you and your crew can kick back and enjoy.

Check fluids. Yes, of course you should stock some waters to keep your own body-fluid levels in check, but don-t forget to make sure all fluids in your car are in check, too. Your car requires a number of different fluids that are required if you want it to run smoothly and efficiently. They include: engine oil, brake and power-steering fluid, as well as windshield cleaning fluid. Oh, and don-t forget the gas! Ensure all levels are topped off and ready to go before hitting the road.

Check tire pressure. Having properly filled tires is important to ensure safety and good fuel efficiency while traveling. Before heading out of town, be sure to fill all tires with an adequate air supply, and don-t forget to do the same for your spare! In the event that you need to use your spare tire, you don-t want to be left with one that-s unusable.

Change the oil. Traveling out of town via car puts extra stress on your engine, which is why getting an oil change is a very good idea. Oil is crucial to the life and vitality of your engine. Replacing oil, dirty oil with new, clean oil is the best way to keep that motor running!

Check all lights and signals. When on the road, how do you feel when people have burnt out headlights and brake lights, and turn signals that don-t work? Its pretty annoying, isn-t it? That-s because safety is so important when driving and without proper lighting equipment, other drives won-t know what maneuvers you plan to make. To ensure safety for you and others on the road, make sure all lights and signals are working properly. A good idea is to always keep spare bulbs in your car just in case.

Emergency equipment. Even with all of the maintenance checks and tips you can provide your car, there is always a chance that something could still go wrong. If it does, you want to make sure your car is equipped with all of the necessary emergency equipment to help you if the situation presents itself. Items include: cell phone and charger, jumper cables, car jack, spare tire, emergency tools (flashlight, screwdriver), and so on.
